Be like Nathaneal

Jesus replied,Because I said to you, I saw you beneath the fig tree, do you believe in and rely on and trust in Me? You shall see greater things than this! 51Then He said to him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you all, you shall see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man!

John 1:50-51

About a month ago, I had a dream. It was about students who gathered together while teaching American Sign Language through the church I have considered to have become a family to for the past year. But while teaching, it seemed like a typical Lifegroup, until I turned around and saw the people surrounding us. I had not realized that students were so fascinated by the words shared, that they had not noticed that it was an ASL class but that we were simply engaging in a conversation about Jesus. I woke up in awe, I’ve been praying about what God wants me to do with that dream. What does it mean? Will it really happen? Is this what obeying looks like?

I’ve taught the class for a while now. As I wrapped up the first semester, i was amazed how God just completely transformed my life just by seeing what He had to offer. Sometimes, invitation can change someone’s life. Sometimes sharing with someone different signs and then encouraging them to step outside their own comfort-zone. It might surprise you at how much fun the group was but we were faced with challenges at times but nothing enough to see more of Him being saw into our lives in what is right and what is wrong.

Reading John 1:50-51 tonight was a simple reminder of where God see us, just as He saw Nathanael. He’ll find ways to not only make himself shine for His kingdom but use us for that very purpose. But in order for that to be successful, we must have faith that God is who He is. Nothing in Him is lacking.
